Newborn (6 Month Old) Floppy Brim Hat

(This is similar to Karen's hat pattern. It is the Red Hat done on the Bond, I did a reform to rib instead of folded over hem, and also on the mid gauge with thinner yarn. Also I did not do her decreasing for the crown.)

Done on the LK-150 with Lion Brand Jaime Baby 3 ply yarn. TD4

Closed Cast on 50 (70) sts. Knit 10 (15) rows.

Reform to rib what you want. I did every 4th st.

(Make sure you don't reform the end NDLs)

Knit 1 more row, work 6 rows of WY, take off machine.

Now only have 25 (35) NDLs out to Work and put 2 sts on 1 NDL so it will form a brim.

Now work up 25 (35) rows even.

Transfer EON over to the next NDL (either way).

Knit 3 rows. Do a Gather Bind Off and sew up seam.

Remember, if you are making these or any item for donations, you can donate them to your local churches (do not have to be a member there), any homeless shelter, food pantries, hospitals and local schools.  Do not be a fool when someone else takes your items and donates or even sells them for their recognition and not yours or even a profit that they never made the items.

You may sell the item you make from this pattern (I do not have any right to tell you that you cannot sell the finished product, that is against the law - For more detail on this, please look at this page), you may not sell or give away the pattern itself. Nor shall it be put into any web page or magazine without my consent. Please email me first before doing so. All Rights Reserved
