Baby Pants In 4 sizes

Baby Pants done all at once.

Made for the Bond, but can be used on other machines if you can get the gauge. Sizes are S (M, L, XL)

Finished Measurements:

Waist: 17" (18", 19", 20")

Length: 14.25" (15.5",16.75", 18.5")

Gauge: KP4, Worsted Weight yarn 8 sts and 11 rows = 2"

Now this is for using a cast on comb. It you are going to use the black hem, start like it tells you in the video or in the manual

First leg:

  1. Move needles 4 - 19 (21, 23, 25) left of 0 (center of machine) to HP
  2. E-wrap cast on. Hang cast on comb. Make sure latches are open, the push the needles back to FWP, if need be use the yellow card to get them to that point
  3. K 4 rows. Work 1 row WY and take off machine and turn it around
  4. K 1 row MY then 1 row WY. Take of the machine again and turn it around again. This will make the fold line for turning up the hem.
  5. Put Row Counter back to 0’s
  6. Now take the first row and put onto needles along with the last row knitted. Move needles to FWP. Make sure latches are open and K across. (easier to have needles in FWP when you have 2 rows to knit in)
  7. Now K up 40 (43, 46, 51) rows
  8. Cut yarn and leave enough so that it won't unravel
  9. Put Needles to HP and leave while you do up the other leg

Second leg:

  1. Repeat as for 1st leg except do up needles 4-19 (21, 23, 25) right of 0 (center mark)
  2. Now K 1 row. Move the center 6 needles to HP. Take the yarn and reverse e-wrap the center 6 needles. Put the carriage back to the right
  3. Now only take the left leg and put those needles to FWP, have the yarn above the other needles that are in HP so that those won't knit
  4. Take the rest of the needles in HP and make sure the latches are in the open position, and move them back, to FWP and K across to have them all go to WP
  5. Reset counter to 0’s
  6. K 34 (39, 43, 47) rows
  7. Work a few rows of WY. Take off machine and turn around, and put the MY stitches back on. Take off WY
  8. K 1 row MY
  9. Again do up a few rows of WY, take off the machine and turn around
  10. Re-hang the MY last row and take off the WY. Knit up 8 rows
  11. Back stitch Bind Off. You will fold that down and sew later and put in elastic

Sew up the side, inseam and crotch edges

Start sewing up waist hem to form. a casing

But only go to about 2" before the end

Now take the elastic, 18” ( 19“, 20”, 21”) and put through the casing, pull it tight to have both ends out

Zig Zag them together

When done with that pull the elastic out so that it fills up the casing. Now finish sewing up the casing hem

Weave in all ends

The Pockets are 13 (14, 15, 15) sts by 13 (14, 15, 16) rows

Pocket Flap is 13 (14, 15, 15) sts by 6 (6, 7, 8) rows. Sew into place
